Job summary

Evolution Singapore is seeking a Product Owner to own and evolve key digital platform capabilities for configuring, administering and distributing insurance products across channels and markets.

You will translate requirements into scalable features, work with cross-functional teams, and drive delivery of policy administration capabilities and API integrations. This role suits someone with strong insurance tech experience and a proven track record in delivering digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Digital Product Manager.
• Hands-on experience owning a digital product roadmap and delivering features from requirements to release.
• Previous experience in insurance, insurtech or insurance technology.
• Experience with policy administration systems, insurance product configuration platforms or APIs is advantageous.

This role will own and evolve key digital platform capabilities that enable insurance products to be configured, administered and distributed across multiple channels and markets.

Job Description

• Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for key digital insurance platform capabilities, including product configuration and policy administration.
• Translate business and insurance requirements into scalable digital features, workflows and platform capabilities.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, design and business teams to take features from concept and requirements through development, testing and production release.
• Define and prioritise product backlogs, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Drive execution against the product roadmap and ensure agreed features and enhancements are delivered effectively.
• Understand how insurance products are structured, including product configuration, underwriting rules and policy lifecycle requirements, and translate these into system functionality.
• Support the development of policy administration capabilities that allow internal users to view, manage and update policies across different insurance products.
• Work with API and integration requirements where the platform connects with insurers and other external systems.
• Build clear business cases for new capabilities and prioritise development based on business value, user needs and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, operations, insurance and commercial teams to align priorities and resolve delivery challenges.
• Monitor adoption, usage and business outcomes following feature launches and use insights to continuously refine the product.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform scalability, usability and commercial value across different markets and insurance lines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Digital Product Manager or similar role managing a software, digital platform or technology product.
• Hands-on experience owning a digital product roadmap and delivering technical features from requirements through implementation and release.
• Previous experience working within insurance, insurtech or insurance technology.
• Experience working closely with software engineering teams and managing product backlogs, user stories and feature prioritisation.
• Strong delivery and execution capability, with a track record of turning product strategy and roadmaps into successfully launched features.
• Good understanding of digital platforms, system integrations and APIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate business requirements and product direction clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, markets and functions in a fast-moving environment.
• Cantonese language capability would be an advantage for engagement with Hong Kong stakeholders.
• Experience in technical project management, software implementation or digital transformation projects would be an advantage.
• Experience with policy administration systems, insurance product configuration platforms, insurance marketplaces or similar insurance technology solutions would be highly advantageous.
• Experience from an insurer, insurtech, insurance software provider, systems integrator or technology company delivering solutions to insurers would be relevant.
