Job summary

Fuku is seeking an IT leader to own end-to-end IT development, engineering delivery, and production operations for a global insurance platform. You will steer strategic and technical directions, ensuring scalable SaaS deployment and robust DevOps practices across multiple countries.

The role requires senior stakeholder engagement, prior leadership of development teams, and a deep passion for technology with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Senior stakeholder engagement and influence

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, DevOps, and Agile delivery

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT application development and smooth production running
• Drive adoption of best practices, tools and frameworks for development & operations
• Ensure design and development align with short-term and long-term business objectives
• Create SaaS agenda plans for the digital insurance platform focusing on reuse and scalability
• Drive speed to market and ensure robust engineering and DevOps practices
• Maintain security considerations during design and build
• Oversee multi-country deployments and observability and alerting practices

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Leadership

• Own the end-to-end IT application development and smooth production running.


• Drive identification and adoption of best practices, tools and frameworks for development & operations


• Ensure design and development are always focused on strategic short term and long-term business objectives.


• Create approaches and plans for the SaaS agenda for the digital insurance platform, with a strong focus on reuse, scalability, and optimized delivery

Technical Excellence

• Drive speed to market with delivery of initiatives.


• Own the execution of the SaaS agenda


• Convert strategy to action by developing and maintaining a robust technical design and adherence to design during build.


• Drive business focus and urgency within the development teams.


• Ensure technical teams are staying current with emerging and newer technologies.


• Drive implementation of robust engineering and DevOps practices and tools for frequent multi-country deployments.


• Ensure Information security requirements are constantly considered are implemented during design and build.


• Ensure identification and robust implementation of best practices for production monitoring, observability and alerting. Including proactively identifying problem areas and addressing.
