Job summary

SICPA Malaysia in Cyberjaya is seeking a Product Owner for Fuel Integrity Solution marking and testing. You will define and maintain a prioritized backlog and collaborate across teams to align requirements with business goals and field constraints.

You will own device integration into software, including drivers, connectivity, and diagnostics, while coordinating validation in lab and field conditions. Strong Agile practices and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software/tech
• Experience with device drivers and hardware-software integration
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across teams
• Ability to translate complex needs into clear requirements
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar tools
• Familiarity with APIs, device protocols, diagnostics, and integration

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a clear, prioritized backlog for Fuel Integrity Solution marking and testing capabilities.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, field operations, product management, hardware and engineering teams to gather requirements.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, interfaces, and end-to-end workflows for marking, sampling, testing, device operation, and results reporting.
• Own the functional integration of hardware devices into software solutions, including drivers, connectivity, calibration workflows, telemetry, diagnostics, and error handling.
• Partner with software, firmware, hardware, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery cycle.
• Coordinate end-to-end validation in lab and field conditions, ensuring functionality meets success criteria, reliability, security, and quality.
• Work with UI/UX, QA, cybersecurity, data, support, and deployment teams to ensure secure, user-friendly experience for operators and admins.
• Monitor solution performance, device incidents, field feedback, and operational data to identify risks and drive improvements.

Product Owner - Fuel Integrity Solution Marking and Testing

Role:
Define and maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog for Fuel Integrity Solution marking and testing capabilities, based on business goals, customer needs, field constraints, and technical dependencies.
Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, field operations, product management, hardware specialists, and engineering teams to gather requirements and align priorities.
Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, interface requirements, and end-to-end workflows for marking, sampling, testing, device operation, and results reporting.
Own the functional integration of hardware devices into software solutions, including device drivers, connectivity, configuration, calibration-related workflows, telemetry, diagnostics, and error handling.
Partner with software, firmware, hardware, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery cycle, including refinement, planning, reviews, testing, and retrospectives.
Coordinate end-to-end validation in representative laboratory and field conditions, ensuring that delivered functionality meets defined success criteria, reliability expectations, security requirements, and quality standards.
Work with UI/UX, QA, cybersecurity, data, support, and deployment teams to provide a consistent, secure, and user-friendly experience for marking operators, inspectors, supervisors, and administrators.
Monitor solution performance, device-related incidents, field feedback, and operational data to identify risks, prioritize corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Profile:
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product role within a software or technology development environment.
Experience with, or a strong understanding of, device drivers and the integration of hardware devices, firmware, and communication interfaces into software solutions.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product backlog management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across business, software, hardware, and field operations teams.
Ability to translate complex operational and technical needs into clear, testable, and intuitive product requirements.
Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar product delivery platforms.
Technical familiarity with software development, APIs, device communication protocols, diagnostics, and system integration; experience with connected instruments, industrial devices, or field equipment is a strong advantage.
Experience in fuel integrity, fuel marking, laboratory or field testing, analytical instruments, or regulated operational environments is an advantage.
Experience with Product Discovery practices is a plus.
