We are looking for an experienced Manager, Product Line (Drilling Fluids) to lead the technical laboratory function and provide technical expertise to support our global drilling fluids operations. This role will drive technical standardisation, product development, quality assurance, and capability building to strengthen our drilling fluids product line to world-class standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage the technical laboratory supporting product development, field operations, testing, and QA/QC activities.
- Ensure standardisation of drilling fluids technical standards, product specifications, and QA/QC procedures across business units.
- Provide technical support to global drilling fluids operations, including troubleshooting, new product and system implementation, technical marketing, and tender preparation.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Managers and drilling fluids teams to provide technical guidance and operational support.
- Work closely with Research & Development teams on new products, technologies, and technical solutions.
- Support customer engagement and strengthen technical relationships with key international clients and industry players.
- Assess and develop the technical capabilities of drilling fluids engineers and operational technical teams.
- Identify training and development needs and recommend appropriate capability-building initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging drilling fluids technologies and industry developments through conferences, forums, workshops, and professional networks.
- Promote innovation, technical excellence, teamwork, and a strong QHSE culture across the function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Extensive expertise in Drilling Fluid Engineering, including testing, troubleshooting, and technical advisory.
- Strong experience in product development, QA/QC, technical proposals, and operational support.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to engage with international clients and travel when required.
