Job summary

EP Engineering in Malaysia seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer with 15+ years' full life-cycle drilling experience, from well design to rig execution, including deepwater exposure (>500m). Familiarity with PSC regulatory requirements is essential.

The role demands strong English communication and ability to operate in a multi-national team. Proficiency with Landmark or Oliasoft and other operations reporting software is expected, along with BOSIET and IWCF Well Control (Subsea Supervisor)

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years drilling engineering experience covering full life cycle from well design to rig execution.
• At least 2 years in deepwater exploration life-cycle as project engineer (>500m).
• Familiar with governing standards and Malaysia PSC regulatory requirements.
• 2+ years of contracting and tendering management within a PSC setup.
• Experience with deepwater/HPHT/MPD/ERD well designs and related software.
• IWCF Well Control (Subsea Supervisor) and BOSIET certifications.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Job description

• A technical degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years experience in drilling engineering with full life cycle (well design to rig execution) experience and exposure to drilling rig operations.
• A minimum of 2 exploration deepwater (>500m) life-cycle experience as the project engineer.
• Familiar with Governing Standards and Malaysia regulatory requirements for a PSC.
• At least 2 years of contracting and tendering management within a PSC setup.
• Fluent in English language both Writing & Spoken.
• Experienced with various well designs in the deepwater, HPHT, MPD and ERD projects.
• Experienced in a multi-cultural and multi-national team setting.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in exploration well DST planning.
• Possess the competency of industry-recognized drilling engineering software for well trajectory, advanced casing and tubing design, hydraulics, torque & drag simulation (e.g. Landmark, Oliasoft) and operations reporting software.
• BOSIET and IWCF Well Control Certificate Course (Subsea Supervisor level).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
