Job summary

TF-AMD Penang is seeking a skilled engineer to lead product sustaining and NPI initiatives, ensuring performance improvements and cost reductions across the product lifecycle. You will drive cross-functional activities to optimize yield, test time, and quality while supporting strategic program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering required.
• 4–8+ years of industrial experience in equipment development or maintenance.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage sustaining activities to drive product performance and cost reduction.
• Oversee introduction of new products (NPI) and ramp to volume manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis on excursions.
• Lead engineering during NPI including EVT/DVT activities and test readiness.
• Drive product ramp to yield entitlement and address margin issues with teams.
• Provide technical/administrative leadership within program constraints.
• Define and review project requirements; ensure necessary approvals.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Management of product sustaining activities which include driving product performance improvement (yield, test time, quality, etc.) and cost reduction.
• Manage the introduction of new products (NPI) and their ramp to volume manufacturing.
• Work with the Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis teams in the disposition of product excursions and manage cases through a material review board.
• Manage the engineering activities during new product introduction including product test flow, EVT and DVT engineering activities, generation of buyoff units, and test program readiness before ramping to volume manufacturing.
• Manage product ramp to yield entitlement. Drive all margin issues with operations and development teams.
• Responsible for technical/administrative/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
• Defines, generates and reviews project requirement documentation.
• Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or above.
• At least 4-8 years and above of industrial experience in equipment development or equipment maintenance experience.

Required Skills:

• Product definition, yield analysis, wafer process and semiconductor knowledge, ATE/SLT testing methodology, project management.
• Capable of working with cross functional teams like test & product development team, manufacturing, product planner, quality and failure analysis.
