Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Penang, Bayan Lepas, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support daily operations and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. You will collaborate with design and procurement teams, participate in NPI activities, and ensure products are designed for manufacturability, reliability and ease of maintenance.

Fresh graduates are welcome; this is a full-time onsite role with day shifts and opportunities to work with advanced manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Good communication and project management skills.
Proactively to pick up AI tools and knowledge.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, quality, and operational efficiency.
Identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and test methods.
Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and support product transfers from development to production.
Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, quality, and reliability.
Support product lifecycle management activities, including cost reductions, process improvements, and component obsolescence management.
Partner with suppliers and procurement teams to address quality, delivery, and material availability issues.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, process flows, and engineering change documentation.
Utilize manufacturing data and digital tools to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
Support validation, qualification, and risk assessment activities to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety and company standards.
