Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is seeking a Mechatronics/ Electronics & Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to improve supplier parts, evaluate alternatives, and support NPI & product transfer. The role involves collaboration across manufacturing to resolve material issues and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical & Engineering, Materials Engineering Sciences.
• 3–5 years related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels.
• Flexible in switching roles, responsibilities, and new tasks when needed.
• Desire to work under aggressive deadlines in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
• Resourceful, detail‑oriented, with sound analytical skills and the ability to offer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for specification interpretation and documentation adequacy.
• Disposition of non-conforming materials and training on the usage of inspection measuring equipment.
• Identify and plan for inspection and test requirements needed for adequate assessment of the quality of incoming parts.
• Analyze inspection, evaluation, and test data, providing feedback on quality performance and following up on quality issues with suppliers.
• Actively participate in quality improvement programs with suppliers.
• Lead sourcing for substitute/alternative materials to achieve cost savings while ensuring supply assurance and/or improving part quality.
• Assist manufacturing in evaluating material-related issues to ensure correct disposition of non-conformance materials.
