SUSIN I TORK ASIA PACIFIC SDN BHD is seeking a Product Engineer who acts as a technical product specialist and customer-facing engineer. You will maintain expert knowledge of all company products, provide customer training, and support, gathering feedback to drive improvements.

You will work across sales, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet customer needs and business goals, oversee product development from prototype to production, and document technical guidance for customers

Formación

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in product engineering, design or related manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in English; Chinese language ability is an advantage.

The Product Engineer acts as both a technical product specialist and customer-facing engineer, responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of all company products, providing customer training and technical support, gathering customer feedback, and driving continuous product improvement.

The role serves as a key interface between customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and business objectives.

Key Accountabilities and Objectives

Work with the regional customer/distributor/agent, external & internal Sales teams, production teams to meet and where possible exceed the company & customer’s requirements/expectations, which includes:

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all company products, features, applications, and technical specifications.

Act as the technical expert for customers, sales teams, and internal departments.

Conduct customer visits to provide product presentations, technical support, troubleshooting, and user training.

Deliver product training sessions to customers, distributors, and internal personnel.

Gather, analyze, and document customer feedback regarding product performance, quality, and usability.

Translate customer feedback into product improvement recommendations and new product development opportunities.

Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and sales teams to resolve technical issues.

Oversee the transition from prototype to production, improving manufacturing methods and reducing costs.

Review customer requirements and provide technical solutions that meet application needs.

Support product testing, validation, commissioning, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) when required.

Prepare technical documentation, training materials, manuals, and product guides.

Assist sales and marketing teams with technical proposals, product demonstrations, and customer inquiries.

Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer needs to support business growth.

Ensure products comply with relevant standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.

Achieving relevant targets and KPI's.

Ensure smooth communication across departments to fulfil company and customer expectations

Adopt a flexible approach to workload and take on new responsibilities when appropriate.

Skills & Experiences

Preferably 2 years’ experience of hands‑on experience in product engineering, design or a related manufacturing environment.

Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related engineering field.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer value.

Proficiency in CAD/simulation software and strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Ability to read Engineering Drawings and familiarity of Schematics.

Highly numerate, able to research, assemble, manage and analyse numerical information.

Understanding data confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.

Good attention to details with a high level of accuracy.

Able to monitor, analyse and interpret project or data effectively.

Able to work in a multi‑tasking environment and perform under pressure.

Proactive, reactive, outgoing and willing to engage in office's activities.

Pleasant personality and willing to learn from zero.

Enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, able to fit into a close‑knit team within an expanding business.

Strong problem‑solving capability and ability to evaluate technical issues.

Competent in IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Good project management skills, able to plan, coordinate and follow through tasks

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Experience with product development lifecycle (PDLC).

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

Ability to travel regularly for customer visits, site support, and training activities.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Fluent in English (speaking, writing and communication).

Chinese language ability is highly welcomed and considered an advantage.
