Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced IC test engineer to drive testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from feasibility through production ramp. You will collaborate with design, DFx, fab, and manufacturing teams to develop test flows, validate ATE programs, perform yield analysis, and optimize test content for cost and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical or related field, experience in semiconductor test environments, familiarity with ATE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in semiconductor test development, product engineering, or manufacturing test environments.
• Familiarity with ATE platforms and test program development.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives testability and manufacturability of ICs from feasibility stage through production ramp.
• Contributes to design, development, and validation of testability circuits, test flows, and methodologies for new products.
• Interfaces with process development, fab, factory, assembly, quality and reliability, and manufacturing groups to enable post-silicon HVM ramp.
• Evaluates new designs on ATE and works with design/DFx/PD teams to debug functionality and performance issues to root cause.
• Performs ATE device characterization, uses data to define datasheet specs and performs yield analysis.
• Collaborates with designers to drive DFT/DFD/DFM features enabling production testing of new products.
• Develops and debugs software programs to convert validation vectors and drive test equipment.
• Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions.
• Tests, validates, modifies, and redesigns circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
• Analyzes component specs vs performance to ensure match with production equipment capability, focusing on yield and bin split.
