Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Sample Coordinator for our Muar facility. You will coordinate sample requests, reviews, and shipping with the sample team and factory, while maintaining data accuracy in our systems.

You will support the engineering group with color panels, pre-production reviews, and quality testing, and you will visit furniture shows to gather new ideas and supplier information. Willingness to travel and work in a factory setting is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any field.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 2 years of working experience in related field.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sample team and factory for sample requests, reviews, quality and shipping; organize and update sample data in the system in time.
• Support engineering team for master color panel, pre-production review, product quality review, and quality testing.
• Manage sample development files, keep sample review photos, and maintain related data in the system in time.
• Collaborate with factory vendors for market sample development and sample shipping to improve sample quality and support designer sample review trips.
• Visit furniture shows to collect new design concepts, supplier information, and competitive products.
• Train new suppliers on Ashley’s basic requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsible:

Coordinating with Sample team & factory for sample request, sample review, sample quality and sample shipping. Organize and update sample data to system in time.

Supports engineering team for master color panel, pre-production review, products quality review, quality testing.

Manage sample development files, good quality sample review photos and maintain all related data in system in time.

Work with vendor (factory) for market sample development & Sample Shipping / to improve sample quality / to prepare designer’s sample review trip.

Visit Furniture Shows collects new design concepts, potential new supplier information, and competitive product information.

Train new suppliers for Ashley’s basic requirements.

Job requirement:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diplomaany field.

Required language(s):English & Bahasa Malaysia.

At least 2Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Good command in English

Good understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, word

Can work independently, honest, trustworthy, team spirited, responsible.

Shows initiative to follow complete tasks outside of job description.

Proficient in MS Office, Auto Cad, Photography, and other computer skills.

Energetic in self-learning for relative knowledge.
