Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee daily procurement operations for bakery production. You will source, negotiate, and issue PR/POs in the ERP system while maintaining ISO-compliant vendor records.

Responsibilities include coordinating with material planners, ensuring on-time deliveries, monitoring KPIs, and maintaining supplier performance. Degree in Purchasing/SCM with 5 years sector experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of procurement experience in related food industry.
• Resourceful with network of trade-related suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conversant with regulatory standards and QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily procurement operations from sourcing to PO in the system.
• Procure raw ingredients, packaging, and general manufacturing supplies for bakery production.
• Prepare and issue contracts after management review and approvals.
• Forecast bulk orders with material planner to minimize stock issues.
• Follow up with buyers to ensure timely delivery and closure of orders.
• Monitor KPIs and generate systems for measurement and recording.
• Collaborate with QA on supplier quality and CAPA actions.
• Maintain Approved Vendors List per ISO requirements.
• Liaise with logistics for overseas procurement (import/export).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Managing and overseeing Procurement daily operation from sourcing, negotiation and approval PR and PO in system

Procurement of raw ingredients, packaging, baking tins, bread crates and general manufacturing supplies directly used for the production of bakery products including indirect materials such as spare parts, consumables and other services

Procurement of OEM products for trade distribution

Prepare and issue the contracts after the management review and approvals

Work closely with material planner in provide accuracy in forecast of bulk orders for raw ingredients and packaging in order to minimize over /under stock situations

Follow-up with buyers to ensure timely delivery of orders and closure of open / outstanding orders.

Monitor key performance indicators and generate the necessary systems for measuring and recording these indicators

Feedback to suppliers on any quality issue of good received and follow-up on CAPA with QA

Work closely with Product Development team on the procurement of ingredients/materials required for new products.

Maintain and ensure timely update of Approved Vendors’ List as per ISO requirements.

Evaluate performance of major suppliers as per standards set in procurement procedures

Liaise with logistic department and freight forwarders for overseas procurement ( import and export shipments )

Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Degree/ Diploma in Purchasing/ Supply Chain Management or its equivalent

5 years of procurement experience in related food industry

Resourceful and good rapport with network of trade related suppliers

Possess strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills

Conversant in relevant regulatory standards and requirements to meet QA
