Job summary

JAC Recruitment International is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Specialist in Malaysia to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and shipping operations. You will ensure cost-effectiveness, compliance, and timely delivery of goods while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, shipping, or related role preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, customs requirements, and international trade practices is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement-related systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers to obtain the best value.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement documentation.
• Monitor market trends and pricing for cost savings and improvements.
• Prepare purchasing reports and provide procurement updates as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of commercial, procurement, and supplier information.
• Manage shipping operations, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and minimal disruptions.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for cost-effective transportation.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs, and international trade laws.
• Monitor shipping costs and negotiate with logistics providers to optimize expenses.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
