Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a materials procurement professional to handle daily sourcing, quotations, and supplier comparisons, and to assist in centralized procurement and tendering activities.

The role monitors receipt, inspection, inventory counting, and disposal of scrap, prepares monthly and final settlements with suppliers, and maintains material records in Yunzhu and other systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin to communicate with diverse clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in purchasing within construction is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily material sourcing and quotation inquiries, including obtaining and comparing supplier quotations.
• Assist in the branch's centralized material procurement and tendering activities.
• Monitor material receiving, inspection, inventory counting, routine stock inspections, and disposal of scrap materials at project sites with timely and accurate records.
• Prepare and review monthly and final material settlements with suppliers.
• Compile, maintain, and submit material reports and management records on time.
• Accurately update material information in Yunzhu (云筑网) and other relevant digital systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

Assist in or participate in the branch's centralized material procurement and tendering activities.

Monitor material receiving, inspection, inventory counting, routine stock inspections, and disposal of scrap materials at project sites, ensuring timely and accurate inventory records.

Prepare and review monthly and final material settlements with suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Compile, maintain, and submit various material reports and management records on time.

Accurately update and maintain material-related information in Yunzhu (云筑网) and other relevant digital management systems.

Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

Possess at least a Graduate Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.

Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Experience in purchasing within the construction industry is an advantage.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Minimum with 1year of relevant working experience. Preferably in Constructionor its related industry.
