Job summary

Airswift is seeking a procurement professional in Malaysia with 2+ years of experience in procurement, warehousing, logistics or shipping. You will manage direct materials for MRO operations, ensure supplier performance and contribute to planning and KPI tracking.

The role requires bilingual proficiency (Bahasa Malaysia and English) and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Hybrid work model with office-based most days and Fridays remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement / Warehousing / Logistics / Shipping.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia & English.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive Safety Culture and ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated, promoted and implemented within the organization.
• Ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS-related duties and responsibilities as defined in the SMS Manual.
• Efficiently and effectively procure consumable and expendable (direct material) materials for the company's MRO operations.
• Recover material shortages (DMAT) in a timely manner and reduce work stoppage time to a minimum.
• Manage operational supplier relationships, including performance management, quality adherence, on-time delivery, relationship management and commercial aspects.
• Develop new vendor business relationships to support specific requirements.
• Contribute to planning strategies by managing planned and actual lead times.
• Cooperate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Production Planner, Engineering, Workshop, Customer Service, Logistics, Quality, Finance) to operate at minimal stock levels while maintaining the highest availability.
• Define and maintain MRP settings by liaising with workshops to forecast future demand.
• Perform material planning, including defining stock levels, reorder points and safety stock levels.
• Drive procurement activities and validate purchase requisitions produced by the ERP system before submission to procurement.
• Analyse historical consumption data to recommend suitable planning models for specific material groups.
• Identify surplus material inventory and manage disposal activities.
• Establish and monitor KPIs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management to achieve company goals and objectives

Work Hours: Mon-Fri (42 hours a week / 8.4 hours a day. Flexi hours-come in anytime before 9am and go back any time after 4pm)
