Job summary

CY Group is hiring for an on-site procurement and supply chain role at our Rawang operation. You will source recyclable materials, negotiate prices, manage inventory, and collaborate with warehouse, logistics and finance teams.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in procurement, business administration, or related field, with 1–3 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or recycling, and willingness to travel to multiple work sites.

• 1–3 years of procurement experience in the manufacturing or recycling industry is advantageous.
• Willing and able to visit storage yards, recycling centers and operational sites as required.
• Energetic, proactive, hands-on and able to work on-site when needed.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase recyclable plastic materials from suppliers and centers; negotiate pricing for cost-effective procurement.
• Monitor market prices and assess quality of purchased materials; maintain supplier relationships.
• Prepare purchase orders, manage inventory accuracy, and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and reporting.

Job Descriptions

1. Procurement & Supply Chain Management

• Source and purchase recyclable plastic materials from suppliers and recycling collection centers
• Negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Monitor market prices and access the quality of purchased materials
• Assist Admin Manager on day-to-day administrative tasks.

2. Site & Delivery Management

• Conduct regular visits to storage facilities, sorting centers and collection sites. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments that may be dirty, humid and have unpleasant odors
• Supervise the handling, loading, unloading and storage of recyclable materials
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials

3. Purchasing & Inventory Management

• Prepare and process purchase orders and related procurement documentation
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of raw materials
• Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortage

4. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the warehouse, logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth operational processes
• Prepare and submit reports on procurement costs, cost savings and purchasing volumes

Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
• 1-3 years of procurement experience in the manufacturing or recycling industry will have an added advantage
• Willing and able to visit storage yards, recycling collection centers and operational sites that may be dirty, humid or have unpleasant odors
• Energetic, proactive, hand-on and willing to work on-site when required
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and perform well under pressure
• Possess own transportation and be willing to travel to multiple work sites
