Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for secondary processes, raw materials, and consumables.

You will issue purchase orders, track on-time delivery, and coordinate with Quality and Engineering to assess process capability and RoHS/REACH compliance. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, with knowledge of ISO/TS16949 and ISO9001 beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier development (preferably in manufacturing environment).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiar with technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Knowledge of ISO/TS16949, ISO9001, or related quality systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for secondary process (plating), raw materials, and consumables.
• Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery in line with production schedules.
• Coordinate with the Quality and Engineering departments to evaluate supplier process capability, plating performance, and compliance with RoHS/REACH requirements.
• Negotiate price, delivery terms, and contracts with local and overseas (China) vendors.
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company procedures and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage safety stock, and support just-in-time (JIT) practices.
