Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality, cost-effective materials for various projects. You will prepare RFQs, POs, and maintain supplier records while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company policies.

Requirements include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, or engineering, and 2–4 years of procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in construction, M&E engineering, or project-based industries will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage to liaise with Chinese suppliers and business associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Purchase Orders (PO), and other procurement documentation.
• Compare quotations and prepare price comparison reports for management approval.
• Coordinate with project teams to understand procurement requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
• Resolve issues relating to shortages, damaged goods, delivery delays, and supplier discrepancies.
• Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment where applicable.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Support tender submissions by sourcing quotations and preparing procurement-related documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
