Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks an entry‑level Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer with 3–6 months of experience to join the production team. You will contribute to line balancing, process improvements and documentation control across manufacturing BOMs, ECOs and MPS.

Strong CAD/Pro/Engineer skills and basic statistical tools are expected. The role requires willingness to work on site in Bayan Lepas and exposure to PCB and box-build assembly environments, with growth

Qualifications

• Diploma with 3-6 months experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly, box-build, plastics, sheet metal, castings, elastomers, display tech is a plus.
• Knowledge of jig/fixture design and CAD tools such as Pro/Engineer.
• Knowledge of statistical tools.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas.

Job description

• Responsible for the manufacturing of highly sophisticated communication products for the professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments
• Perform line balancing, improve productivity, reduce cycle time and reduce CoPQ in production.
• Generate and maintain the documents such as manufacturing BOM, Engineering Change Order (ECO), Manufacturing Process Specification (MPS) and pilot report.
• Apply sound engineering knowledge in the trouble shooting product failure, produce failure analysis report and perform corrective action.
• Provide technical support to value stream team in order to achieve business and quality indices.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, in Mechanical / Manufacturing engineering with 3~6 month experience.
• Working knowledge in PCB assembly or box-build assembly manufacturing. Knowledge in plastic molding, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers, latest display technology and electro-mechanical components would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in jig and fixture design, and ability to utilize latest CAD tools such as Pro/Engineer.
