Job summary

POLAR Electro Malaysia (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Process Engineering Lead to drive process improvements, conduct root cause analysis, and define process parameters for yield enhancement.

You will lead a team, develop process control plans, jigs/fixtures, and capacity strategies, ensuring cost reduction and robust work instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading process engineering teams.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of EMS/manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to drive process improvements and yield enhancements.
• Perform root cause analysis and define process parameters.
• Develop and qualify process jigs and fixtures.
• Create and implement process control plans and work instructions.
• Coordinate cost-reduction initiatives and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve process-related issues.

Job description

Lead a team towards process improvements, root cause analysis, define process parameters and drive for corrective action on process yield improvement.

Responsible for providing process engineering support to the manufacturing lines as well as coaching to process engineers in solving line issues.

Responsible of process jig and fixture development and qualification.

Develop and implement process control strategies and capacity plans.

Fully in charge for process flow, quality plan/process control plan and work instruction of processes.

Drive for process cost reduction.

Coordinate for continues process improvement.

Liaise with manufacturing team in solving all processes' related issues and perform failure or root cause analysis for customer complaints which related to process issues.

Carry out duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
