Mixxion Engineering – Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and hands-on Process Quality Engineer to join our team. The role is responsible for ensuring that machined components and finished products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications and quality requirements, while continuously improving our manufacturing processes and quality system.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a CNC machining / precision engineering environment and good working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS.
Responsibilities
- Ensure incoming, in-process and final inspections are properly carried out according to engineering drawings, job orders and customer requirements.
- Prepare, review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) reports and other customer quality documentation.
- Ensure inspection results are properly recorded, complete and traceable.
- Establish inspection methods, checklists and inspection criteria for machined parts, including appropriate sampling requirements where applicable.
- Guide and monitor personnel on the correct use of measuring and inspection equipment to ensure accurate and consistent measurements.
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, perform root-cause analysis and prepare 8D / corrective action reports where required.
- Manage NCRs and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions and inspection standards in accordance with ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
- Drive process optimisation by improving material flow, production flow, incoming and outgoing processes to improve efficiency, quality and workflow.
- Support internal, external and customer quality audits, and work closely with Production, Engineering and other departments to implement continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering / QA/QC within CNC machining, precision engineering or manufacturing.
- Good working knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001 QMS.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
- Good understanding of dimensional inspection, quality control and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in FAI, OQC, 8D, NCR and root-cause analysis.
- Able to establish inspection methods and guide personnel on proper inspection and measurement practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and process improvement skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
