Job summary

Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing workflows at our Pulau Indah, Selangor facility. You will design and test new procedures, lead improvement projects, and ensure compliance with safety and project management standards.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with contractors, and transform raw materials into final products while applying lean principles to raise production rates and output quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
• Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
• Responsible for the design & implementation of process improvement projects.
• Ensure proper project management documentation including but not limited to project schedule, cost centre, engineering documentation, agreements and meeting minutes.
• Ensure compliance of daily activity within the Factory Disciplines and safety regulation.
• Respond to all emergency calls for project issues and ensure the issues are rectified promptly.
• Supervise work of the team members and contractors to ensure work is done and complied to safety regulations.
• Transforming raw materials and energy into final products and optimizing systems and equipment procedures.
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output with lean manufacturing principles.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Ensure adequate training and development of team members.
• To undertake other responsibilities/any ad-hoc task assigned by Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager from time to time.
