Job summary

SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Process Technology Engineer in Kedah. You will develop and transfer new process technologies and equipment from R&D to high-volume manufacturing, driving cpK, UPH, and yield improvements using 6sigma methods.

You will lead equipment qualification, build roadmaps for process and equipment upgrades, and guide a team of engineers across R&D, product development, quality, and manufacturing to resolve issues and deliver project milestones.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years experience in process engineering or process industrialization in semiconductor or optical industry.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes in optical or semiconductor industry.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes like CMP, Grinding, Thin Film Coating, Dicing, Stacking and CNC.
• Proficiency with data analysis, DOE, 6sigma and statistical techniques.
• Deep knowledge in problem solving methods.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team building skills.
• Target driven personality with high execution focus.
• BSc/MSc/PhD Degree in Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, Photonics, Physics or Optics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, transfer and qualify new process technologies and new equipment from R&D to high volume manufacturing.
• Achieve process capability and stability targets (cpK, UPH, yield) with 6sigma methods.
• Lead the set up and qualification of new equipment for high volume manufacturing.
• Formulate and deploy process and equipment improvement roadmaps.
• Lead the department of process engineers to work for productivity improvements, cost excellence and business excellence projects.
• Lead the team in systematic problem-solving approaches and develop the team, building up core competency and expertise.
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Summarize complex problems, develop actions to address them, and build consensus across teams to drive for solutions according to project plans.
• Report progress and status to higher management and customers.
