Job summary

NIL Technology in Bayan Lepas, Penang seeks a skilled Process Engineer to develop, optimize and sustain wafer stacking processes in wafer fabrication. You will lead process improvements, work with vendors, and ensure high quality, reliability and productivity through data-driven methods.

Required are a relevant engineering degree, 3 years wafer processing experience, and strong data analysis/Lean Six Sigma skills. English and Malay fluency is essential; Mandarin a plus for client interactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, Photonics, Physics or Optics.
• At least 3 years of wafer processing experience in wafer stack bonding, imprint lithography, replication.
• Proficiency in data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, RCA, DOE, and SPC.
• Strong measurement and metrology in dimensional, surface, optical and vision-based systems.
• Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is an added advantage for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and sustain wafer stacking process in wafer fabrication.
• Review process control data using QC tools and identify trends, deviations, stability and repeatability.
• Initiate CAPA and collaborate with Process/NPI teams for improvements.
• Design process documents (FMEA, PCP, WI, checklists) to maintain traceability.
• Drive Six Sigma/Kaizen based quality improvement initiatives.

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer with the role is responsible for developing, optimizing and sustaining in wafer level stacking process in wafer fabrication. He/She in charge for setting up and qualify the wafer stacking process capabilities, trigger for the process improvements to ensure high product quality, reliability, yield, and productivity.

Job Description:

Responsible for glass wafer stack bonding process, drive wafer stacking process capabilities, optimization & sustaining.

Work closely with counterpart and drive equipment development together with vendor/supplier.

Review process control data using statistical tools and process monitoring by identifying the trends/ deviations/ stability/ repeatability using QC tools.

Detect and report non-conformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and collaboration with Process / NPI team driving for improvements.

Initiate and design process document and forms (FMEA, PCP, WI, Checklist) to maintain accurate inspection records, and record keeping ensuring traceability.

Initiate quality improvement plan (Six sigma, Kaizen, etc.) for continuous improvements in your process.

Any other company projects and activities.

Qualifications:

BSc/MSC/PhD Degree in Mechatronics / Electronic Engineering / Photonics / Physics / Optics.

At least 3 years of experience in wafer processing in terms of wafer stack bonding, imprint lithography, replication.

Proficiency in data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, RCA, DOE, and SPC (JMP, Minitab)

Proficiency in measurement & metrology tool in terms of dimensional, surface profile and optical & vision based.

Strong sense of urgency & responsibility in task given.

Fluent in English and Malay, both spoken and written, with strong communication and reporting skills across all levels. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage, as the role requires effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.

The workplace will be Bayan Lepas Penang, Malaysia.
