Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Process Engineer to lead packaging and Auto VI process improvements and to support automation initiatives using AI, RPA, Power Automate and software integration.

You will drive yield and cost improvements, troubleshoot quality issues, set up new equipment, and maintain technical docs and PFMEA/Control Plans, with strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering (Packaging or Auto VI) is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead yield, process and cost improvement activities.
• Provide technical support for quality issues and lead root-cause investigations.
• Set up new equipment or new product for Packaging and AVI process.
• Support automation projects using AI, RPA, Power Automate and software integration.
• Develop, maintain and update specifications and equipment recipes (PFMEA, Control Plans).
