Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Penang, Bayan Lepas, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide engineering leadership and technical support to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives. You will lead packaging and AVI process setups and collaborate with other departments on new equipment start-ups.

This role includes supporting Automation initiatives using AI, RPA and Power Automate, developing and updating PFMEA, Control Plans and equipment recipes, and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering (Packaging or Auto VI) is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive yield, process and cost improvement activities.
• Provide technical support for quality issues by leading or supporting root cause investigations, assessing product and process impact, and collaborate closely with related teams to implement and verify effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Responsible for new equipment or new product set-up for Packaging and AVI process.
• Support and participate in Automation projects by utilizing technology such as AI, RPA, Power Automate, and software integration.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical specifications, documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans) and equipment’s recipes.
