Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to drive data‑driven improvements on manufacturing lines. You will lead Lean Six Sigma projects, build ML models for yield and defect detection, and deploy real‑time dashboards for operators and engineers.

You will work on Industry 4.0 initiatives, SPC monitoring, and qualification activities for new product introductions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field as listed.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
• Hands‑on Lean Six Sigma tools experience; Green Belt preferred.
• Experience building or deploying ML models using Python.
• Knowledge of SPC, Cpk, and data visualization tools.
• Strong data analysis skills with Python/SQL/Minitab/JMP/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify yield, cycle time, and cost improvements.
• Plan and execute Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM projects from DOE to results.
• Build and deploy ML models for manufacturing use cases with Data Science/IT.
• Develop real-time dashboards and automated reports for engineers.
• Support Industry 4.0 initiatives including MES integration and IIoT.
• Maintain SPC systems and monitor process capability (Cpk).
• Investigate excursions using 8D/DMAIC/FMEA and implement corrective actions.
• Support NPI process qualification and control plans.
• Collaborate with Equipment/Maintenance and Quality teams.
• Document standard work and lessons learned for training.
• Present results to Process Engineering Manager and stakeholders.
