Job summary

Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd in Lunas Kedah is seeking a Process Engineer for a full-time role leading production and process-improvement projects, including involvement in new development initiatives.

You will support engineering activities across manufacturing, from time studies to SOPs, with emphasis on lean methods, safety, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Candidates should have a chemical/process background and 1–2 years' industry experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Chemistry.
• Wood Science or equivalent.
• 1–2 years' professional experience in process engineering within chemical, manufacturing, or laminate production industries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Production Support & Process Improvement: lead and participate in projects, update production status, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage customer complaints and implement preventive actions; coordinate with marketing and production.
• Conduct time studies to set standards and assess required headcount; propose improvements.
• Write and review work instructions (WI) and SOPs with relevant departments.
• Support laminates manufacturing through trials, data analysis, and reporting; ensure safety and waste management compliance.
