Job summary

FERROTEC POWER SEMICONDUCTOR MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a Process Engineer to optimise and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring high quality standards. The role is full-time at a state-of-the-art facility.

The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering, with strong knowledge of SPC, lean manufacturing, data analysis, and problem-solving, and be able to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing methodologies
• Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in process optimisation, equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Must able well communicate in Mandarin, as job required to dealing with Chinese stakeholder.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process status and assess the impact of changes in process parameters on products.
• Develop new products and processes.
• Regularly evaluate processes or control plans and update technical documents and standards.
• Establish product quality and related inspection standards.
• Manage and update process documents for cutting, punching, coding, final inspection, packaging, etc.
• Maintain production and yield on processes such as cutting, punching, coding, final inspection, packaging.
• Drive yield-improvement projects across processes.
• Track and improve abnormal issues in the production line.
• Introduce new technologies, equipment, and materials and assess their impact.
