Job summary

Flex is seeking an Associate Process Engineer to join our Senai, Johor team. You will focus on cost, quality and delivery improvements within the manufacturing organization and support new process equipment production and ECOs.

You will help implement robust process controls and develop documentation to ensure repeatable results. You will engage in daily production activities, identify root causes, participate in capital equipment decisions, and lead cost reduction programs while collaborating

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Understand the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and perform problem solving on daily issues.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Support and oversee new process equipment production.
• Support the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters.
• Develop, implement and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related issues.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvements.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products.
• Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.
• Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.
• Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques and yields.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Review processing methods.
• Interface with production for new process implementation and transfer.
• Assist in training and provide training during new technology transfer.
• Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
• Lead cost improvement/reduction programs.
