Job summary

Koon Seng Sdn Bhd is a leading glove manufacturer in Malaysia seeking a Process Control Technical Manager to act as the technical link between Production and R&D, tightening process controls, improving stability and reducing defects.

You will oversee process parameters across dipping, leaching, curing, and coating, perform root-cause analysis, lead improvement trials and train technicians to ensure smooth transfer of new formulations to production.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Chemical, Polymer, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in nitrile/natural latex glove manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of glove dipping processes, process troubleshooting, SPC and root-cause analysis.
• Good coordination, leadership and communication skills between R&D and Production.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Production, R&D, QA and Engineering on glove manufacturing process control.
• Establish, tighten and maintain process parameters, operating windows and control limits.
• Monitor critical processes including latex compounding, coagulant, dipping, leaching, curing, chlorination/polymer coating and stripping.
• Identify process variation and conduct root-cause analysis for defects.
• Lead process improvement trials and verify results before full production implementation.
• Support R&D in scaling up new formulations, products and processes from trial to production.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process control plans, check sheets and technical standards.
• Train technicians and production personnel on process-control requirements and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, yield, productivity, chemical consumption and manufacturing cost.

Process Control Technical Manager - Glove Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Process Control Technical Manager to act as the key technical link between Production and Research & Development (R&D). The role is responsible for tightening process controls, improving process stability, reducing variation and defects, and ensuring new R&D developments are successfully transferred into production.

Key responsibilities:

Coordinate between Production, R&D, QA and Engineering on glove manufacturing process control.

Establish, tighten and maintain process parameters, operating windows and control limits.

Monitor critical processes including latex compounding, coagulant, dipping, leaching, curing, chlorination/polymer coating and stripping.

Identify process variation and conduct root-cause analysis for defects such as pinholes, thickness variation, tackiness, poor stripping and physical-property failures.

Lead process improvement trials and verify results before full production implementation.

Support R&D in scaling up new formulations, products and processes from trial to commercial production.

Develop and maintain SOPs, process control plans, check sheets and technical standards.

Use production data, SPC and trend analysis to improve process consistency and capability.

Train technicians and production personnel on process-control requirements and troubleshooting.

Drive continuous improvement in quality, yield, productivity, chemical consumption and manufacturing cost.

Requirments:

Diploma/Degree in Chemical, Polymer, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

Relevant experience in nitrile/natural latex glove manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of glove dipping processes, process troubleshooting, SPC and root-cause analysis.

Good coordination, leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work closely between R&D and Production.
