Job summary

OKX invites applications for Principal AI Engineer, Chatbot Development. This role leads architecture and deployment of large-scale, LLM-powered conversational Chatbots serving enterprise and consumer use cases in crypto environments.

You will own end-to-end delivery of production-grade conversational AI platforms, define technical vision, and drive improvement through experiments, A/B testing, and scalable, secure systems in global offices.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Computer Science, AI, or related field with at least 10 years of industry experience.
• Expertise in industrial dialogue systems, including orchestration layers, intent classification, policy control, and fallback strategies.
• Proven experience deploying large-scale conversational products in production environments.
• Hands-on experience designing multi-tier intent routing and training classifiers for high-accuracy task allocation.
• Experience building structured dialogue evaluation frameworks (automatic metrics, LLM-as-judge, human review systems, etc.).

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Principal AI Engineer to lead the architecture and deployment of large-scale, LLM-powered conversational Chatbot systems serving both enterprise and consumer use cases.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on building intelligent, autonomous chatbot systems operating in real-time crypto environments. You will define the technical vision and own end-to-end delivery of production-grade conversational AI platforms.

What We Look For In You

• PhD or Master's in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field with at least 10 years of industry experience.
• Deep understanding of the engineering complexity behind industrial dialogue systems, including orchestration layers, intent classification, policy control, and fallback strategies.
• Proven experience deploying large-scale conversational products (To Business or To Consumer) in production environments.
• Hands-on experience designing multi-tier intent routing and training classifiers for high-accuracy task allocation.
• Experience building structured dialogue evaluation frameworks (automatic metrics, LLM-as-judge, human review systems, etc.).
• Strong experience driving automated bad-case discovery, logging systems, experiment design, and A/B testing frameworks.

• Experience in top-tier AI labs or Tech industry leaders
• Experience in high-frequency trading, fintech, Web3, or crypto platforms is a strong advantage
• Startups or research-intensive environments preferred; comfortable operating with ambiguity and speed
