Job summary

Gateway Search is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our Cloud and Application Services team. In this customer-facing role, you’ll work closely with customers, sales teams, delivery teams, and AWS specialists to shape and position application transformation solutions.

You’ll design scalable, secure AWS architectures, develop solution proposals, architecture documentation, and cost models, and lead technical workshops, demos, and proofs-of-concept.

Qualifications

• Experience designing AWS application solutions for customers.
• Experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing environment is preferred.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and security best practices.

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our client in the Cloud and Application Services team.

In this customer-facing role, you’ll work closely with customers, sales teams, delivery teams, and AWS specialists to shape and position application transformation solutions.

What you’ll do

• Partner with customers and sales teams to understand business needs and translate them into solution concepts
• Design scalable, secure, and reliable AWS application architectures
• Develop solution proposals, architecture documentation, and cost models
• Lead technical workshops, demonstrations, discussions, and proof-of-concepts
• Apply your Java application development expertise alongside modern frontend technologies
• Embed DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and secure development
• Work with delivery teams to ensure smooth solution handover

What we’re looking for

• Experience designing application solutions on AWS, ideally in a customer-facing or presales environment
• Strong Java development expertise; .NET experience is a plus
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks
• Solid understanding of AWS compute, storage, networking, and cloud-native architecture
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and container-based deployments
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
