Job summary

CGL Consulting Co., Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a technically strong Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineer to support customer engagement, solution development, and regional growth across Southeast Asia. The role focuses on AI-driven industrial energy optimization and intelligent control solutions.

You will translate complex technical concepts into business value, deliver technical demonstrations, and collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Mandarin; able to communicate with regional customers and China team.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical sales in industrial automation.

Its technology combines AI algorithms with physical models to optimize complex industrial systems, helping customers improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance system performance.

As the business expands across Southeast Asia, we are looking for a technically strong Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineer based in Malaysia to support customer engagement, solution development, and regional business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, operational challenges, and energy-efficiency objectives.
• Develop and present technical solutions for industrial energy optimization and intelligent control applications, including HVAC systems, chiller plants, and data center cooling.
• Work closely with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams to assess existing systems, identify optimization opportunities, and define solution proposals.
• Support technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept projects, and solution validation.
• Provide technical input for proposals, project scoping, and commercial discussions, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Support project implementation and post-sales technical coordination to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify business opportunities across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, application engineering, or technical sales within industrial automation, HVAC controls, building management systems (BMS), energy management, or related fields.
• Good understanding of industrial control systems, HVAC applications, chiller plant operations, or energy-efficiency solutions.
• Ability to understand technical problems, develop practical solutions, and communicate technical value to both engineering and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English are required to collaborate effectively with regional customers and the China-based technical team.
• Must be a Malaysian citizen and willing to travel for customer meetings and project support when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with chiller plant optimization, BMS/EMS integration, PLC/SCADA, HVAC control systems, or industrial energy management.
• Exposure to data center cooling, liquid cooling, or other energy-intensive industrial applications.
• Experience supporting technical evaluations, proof-of-concept projects, or solution deployment.
