Job summary

HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Primary Banker 1 to deliver exceptional customer experience, promote digital channels, and drive revenue growth. You will be a key point of contact for NTB/ETB clients and manage mutual opportunities.

You will handle account updates, ensure compliance, and support cross‑sell across cards, loans, and other retail products. Strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.

Qualifications

• SPM with 5 credits minimum.
• At least 1 year of retail banking experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong customer handling and problem-solving skills.
• Able to navigate tablets and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Branch Ambassador to deliver exceptional customer experience at first contact.
• Promote digital channels and Life Sign Technology to customers.
• Generate revenue by meeting customer needs for cards, loans, and other retail products.
• Drive referrals for Advance and Premier segments.
• Utilise customer base to identify opportunities and drive sales.
• Update customer information accurately in the bank system.
• Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
