Job summary

HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad is seeking ambitious individuals to join its International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) team as a Primary Banker 1. You will work with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

As a Branch Ambassador, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience, promote digital channels, and drive revenue growth through retail banking products while ensuring compliance and accurate data handling.

Qualifications

• SPM with at least 5 credits.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail, banking or financial industry preferred.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Cantonese is a bonus.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able to navigate and use tablets and other digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Branch Ambassador to deliver exceptional customer experience at first contact.
• Promote digital channels and Life Sign Technology to NTB or ETB customers.
• Generate revenue by meeting customer needs for cards, personal loans, and other retail products.
• Drive referrals for Advance and Premier customer segments.
• Utilise customer base to identify opportunities and drive sales.
• Update customer information accurately in the bank system.
• Ensure compliance, audits, SOX and regulatory requirements are met.

We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join our International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) team in the role of Primary Banker 1, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Act as a Branch Ambassador to deliver exceptional customer experience through identifying and fulfilling customer needs at first point of contact
2. Promote digital channel and Life Sign Technology to New to Bank (NTB) or Existing to Bank (ETB) customers
3. Generate revenue growth by meeting customer needs for cards, personal loan, balance build and other retail products
4. Drive referrals for both Advance and Premier customer segments
5. Utilise customer base to look for opportunities and drive sales
6. Update customer’s information accurately in the Bank’s system
7. Ensure Compliance, Audit, SOX and other regulatory requirements are met

Qualifications:

• Minimum SPM qualification with 5 credits
• Candidate with at least one (1) year working experience in retail, banking or financial industry would be preferred
• Fluent in spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin / Cantonese is an added advantage;
• Strong customer handling and problem solving skills
• Ability to navigate and use tablet and other digital tools
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
