Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a bending operator to set up and operate bending machines, read drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications. You will adjust tooling and machine parameters, measure tolerances, and inspect bent components for quality.

The role requires basic problem solving and adherence to safety procedures. Candidates with at least 1 year in metal fabrication or sheet metal environments and familiarity with bending processes will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Metal Fabrication or related field is advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing, metal fabrication, sheet metal or similar production environment.
• Experience operating bending machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bending machines to bend metal sheets per specifications.
• Set up dies, tools, and machine parameters for required dimensions and angles.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and production specs.
• Select dies/tools based on material type, thickness, and job requirements.
• Measure dimensions, angles, and tolerances to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts for tolerances and bending quality.
• Report machine, tooling, material, or quality issues to supervisor.
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting and maintain machines and tools.
