Job summary

PA Recruitment Limited is recruiting a technical pre-sales professional in Malaysia to articulate network designs with strong knowledge of Software Defined Networking, Security and Data Center Virtualization.

You will support Cisco, Aruba, Huawei routing/switching, wireless, WAN and collaboration solutions, translating customer needs into viable architectural proposals and driving solution sales through technical validation and compelling presentations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in Networking/Security, preferably in pre-sales.
• Principal certifications from Cisco, Huawei or HPE are an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of enterprise IT landscape for customer environments.
• Strong SDN, Data Center Networking, and Security knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of Public/Private Cloud architectures and end-to-end solution integration.
• Strong technical skills across multiple disciplines with good communication.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu; good documentation skills.
• Team player with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support articulating design with product knowledge.
• Support Cisco/Aruba/Huawei Routing/Switching, Wireless, WAN and Collaboration solutions.
• Translate customer needs into solutions and propose alternatives.
• Assist in bidding: BOM, quotations, liaising with vendors, solution verifications, and proofs of concepts.
• Assess client infrastructure and demonstrate long-term value of the solution.
• Collaborate with client, vendors and internal teams for end-to-end design.
• Support RFI/RFQ/RFP responses, customer presentations, and technical workshops.
• Incorporate managed services ideas into proposals.
• Build strong customer relationships as trusted advisor to strategic clients.

Job description

This role provides technical pre-sales support in articulating design with good product knowledge of Software Defined Networking, Security and Data Center Network Virtualization. You will primarily support Cisco/Aruba/Huawei Routing/Switching, Wireless, WAN and Collaboration solutions, driving solution sales by understanding customer requirements and suggesting alternatives to better the solution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support in articulating design with good product knowledge of Software Defined Networking, Security and Data Center Network Virtualization
• Support Cisco/Aruba/Huawei Routing/Switching, Wireless, WAN and Collaboration solutions
• Drive solution sales by understanding customer's requirement and suggest alternatives to better the solution, translating identified needs into solutions
• Assist in bidding efforts including solution architecting, preparation of BOM & quotation, liaising with partner/principal on technical aspects, solution verifications, proposal write-up, customer presentations, clarifications, proof of concepts and other related activities
• Understand client current infrastructure environment and help them envision the solution value, and how it will benefit them in the longer term
• Work with client, vendors and internal team and responsible for end to end integration and design
• Provide technical support for ongoing sale opportunities, RFI/RFQ/RFP response, customer presentation and technical workshop
• Incorporate support services and managed services ideas into proposal
• Develop strong customer relationships that enable trusted advisor to strategic clients

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or equivalence
• Minimum 2-years of working experience in Networking, Security and etc, preferably in pre-sales support
• Principal certification from Cisco, Huawei, HPE is added advantage
• Good knowledge in common IT landscape for enterprise customer environment
• Strong specialization knowledge in Software Define Networking (Data Center Network, Enterprise LAN and WAN), Security is a strong advantage
• Sound understanding in Public/Private Cloud architecture with good knowledge in end-to-end solution integration
• Highly motivated with very strong technical skills across multiple disciplines complementing strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu
• Good documentation and proposal writing skills
• Good team player with good time management skills
