Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a PP Technical Executive based in Kuching to operate and maintain advanced production printing machines.
You will configure RIP and Fiery software, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure high uptime and quality. Responsibilities include setting up and refurbishing machines, conducting pre-delivery inspections, monitoring print quality, implementing QC checks, and optimizing production workflows.

What is your role:
Operate and maintain advanced production printing machines, ensure that printing management systems, including RIP (Raster Image Processing) software and Fiery Software, are properly configured and functioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, Fiery controller and Fiery software issues with printing systems to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on printing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and quality.
Responsible in setting up new machines or refurbish machines and conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) to ensure machines are in proper working condition prior to installation at Customer’s premises
Monitor printed media for quality, ensuring print accuracy, color consistency, sharpness, and alignment.
Implement quality control checks to ensure all production jobs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Adjust printing equipment settings and parameters to resolve print defects and ensure the highest possible quality of output.
Analyze and optimize production workflows, reducing waste, downtime, and inefficiencies in the printing process.
Collaborate with production teams to streamline paper handling, consumable usage, and other resources to improve overall production efficiency. Including managing onsite stock buffer.
Provide technical support and training for printing operators and production staff.
Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and operators to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication throughout the production process.
Provide feedback on any recurring machine or operational issues that impact production efficiency or quality.
Commit and discharge duties in compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO14001 requirements and standards.
What you need to have:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably Electro-Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics or Physics or equivalent business experience in office automation.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills together with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to understand mechanical drawings.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Able to handle customers' grievances.
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English language and the local language.
Fresh graduates will be considered as training is provided.
