Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Customer Engineer - Power to join the Global Service Team in Malaysia. The role focuses on on-site electrical power systems support, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and emergency response to meet customer SLAs.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in data centers or power systems, with UPS expertise, electrical safety compliance, and strong communication skills. Travel across Peninsular and East Malaysia is required, with standby on-call as needed.

Qualifications

Demonstrated trouble-shooting and fault-diagnosis abilities.
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on power systems.
Ability to work as the field service representative to meet SLA targets.

Responsibilities

Report to the Service Centre Assistant Manager and support service commitments and SLAs.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, start-up, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Vertiv Power systems.
Diagnose faults and provide timely technical solutions to minimize downtime.
Prepare cost estimates and repair quotations for Time & Material work.
Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain technical knowledge of third-party equipment under service contracts.
Respond to emergency breakdown calls and perform follow-up repairs.
