Job summary

Sunningdale Tech Penang Sdn Bhd in Penang is looking for an Injection Molding Technician to set up, operate and maintain plastic injection molding machines in line with production schedules and ISO standards.

You will monitor cycle times, ensure stable production and quality output, maintain production records, and support a shift-based environment with safety and continuous improvement at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing preferred).
• At least 2–3 years experience in plastic injection molding environment.
• Knowledge in machine setup, mold changeover, and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiar with quality control, ISO standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and able to work in shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily mold servicing, cleaning, and maintenance according to schedule.
• Communicate with Molding Supervisor during maintenance activities.
• Apply grease to guide pins to prevent wear and ensure smooth operation.
• Respond promptly to job orders from Molding and resolve issues immediately.
• Carry out weekly maintenance based on maintenance schedule/chart.
• Record all maintenance activities and obtain verification from Tooling Supervisor.
• Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Molding Manager from time to time.

• Maintain proper production records, checklists, and shift handover documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and ISO standards while supporting team and superior
