Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a manufacturing/production setting.
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and operations.
• Leadership and team management ability to drive performance.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling and quality control.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and production documentation.
• Proactive problem-solving approach to operational issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations and ensure machinery/equipment function optimally.
• Supervise and coordinate production staff including scheduling and performance management.

• Implement and enforce HSE procedures across the facility.
• Inspect equipment and facilities and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Manage raw materials and production supplies inventory.
• Document production data, incidents and maintenance per procedures.

• Report on operational performance and challenges to management.
• Train and mentor team members on safe practices and procedures.

About the role

KTK Concrete Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to join our manufacturing operations in Elmina, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our concrete production facility. As Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff to meet operational targets and safety requirements. This role is essential to our continued success and growth in the manufacturing and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations and ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning optimally
• Supervise and coordinate production staff, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance management
• Monitor production output and ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures and regulations throughout the facility
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly
• Manage inventory of raw materials and production supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
• Document production data, incidents and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
• Liaise with management on operational performance, challenges and recommended actions
• Train and mentor team members on safe work practices and operational procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Plant Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and manufacturing operations
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Experience with production planning, scheduling and quality control
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications and production documentation
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage multiple priorities
• Computer literacy and familiarity with production management systems (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA, ISO or supervisory training (preferred)
