Job summary

JB Cocoa Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead plant maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, utilities, and facilities. You will oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, compliance with GMP and ESH, and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians, and contractors to sustain production continuity and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing maintenance experience with supervisory exposure.
• Experience with PM, corrective maintenance, and reliability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily maintenance activities for plant equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical, electrical, or process breakdowns.
• Develop and maintain PM schedules, equipment history, and improvement plans.
• Supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians, and contractors safely and timely.
• Provide technical guidance and performance feedback to improve team capability.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Supply Chain on equipment issues and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ESH, GMP, food safety, and audit documentation.
• Liaise with authorities and vendors on regulatory inspections and certifications.
• Maintain SAP/CMMS updates and monthly maintenance reports.
• Initiate reliability and cost-control improvement projects.
