Job summary

Sinergia Talents Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Leader to guide the plant's maintenance organization and ensure reliability of equipment and assets while controlling costs. The role includes supervising technical teams, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering, 5+ years hands-on maintenance, and 3+ years in management, with a proven ability to optimize maintenance processes and uphold safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with equipment repairs and maintenance plus 3 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
• High degree of analytical skills to identify opportunities for equipment efficiency improvements.
• Proficiency in budget management, planning, and scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Ability to coach/mentor/lead subordinates.
• Working knowledge of safety and environmental standards, such as ISO 13849-1, UL, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance organization to oversee repair and maintenance of plant equipment and assets, ensuring reliability and longevity while managing costs.
• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and staff including recruiting, training, and performance management.
• Oversee repairs, maintenance, and upgrades; coordinate with external contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, allocating resources effectively and monitoring costs.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment, machinery, and spare parts, ensuring readiness and good condition.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and plans; coordinate activities to minimize disruption.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe environment.
• Manage operations of build shop and ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, manuals, and reports for audits.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives in maintenance processes.
• Provide regular reports and analytics on equipment availability and KPI-driven improvements.
