Job summary

Kanry Search is recruiting a General Manager for a multinational manufacturing site in Malaysia. The role leads plant operations to deliver safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets while owning the plant P&L and budgets.

You will drive OEE improvements, capacity planning and cross-functional coordination with finance and regional leadership. The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing leadership experience, a proven track record of improving performance, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 10 years in management.
• Experience within a multinational manufacturing organisation is essential.
• Proven responsibility for plant P&L, supported by measurable financial achievements.
• A strong record of improving OEE and manufacturing performance.
• Experience managing sizeable plant operations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial judgement, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations, delivering results across safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer delivery.
• Take ownership of plant P&L, budgets and operating plans to improve profitability.
• Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), capacity utilisation and production efficiency.
• Strengthen production planning, maintenance, quality and supply chain coordination.
• Manage operational costs, inventory and working capital in partnership with Finance.
• Support business growth through effective capacity planning and operational execution.
• Develop capable leadership teams and foster accountability across the plant.
• Collaborate with regional and global leadership within a matrix reporting structure.
