Job summary

Kanry Search is seeking a commercially minded General Manager to lead plant operations, strengthen profitability and drive business performance in our Malaysian manufacturing plant.

The successful candidate will own the plant P&L, manage budgets and operating plans, and deliver improvements in OEE, capacity, and production efficiency while coordinating across safety, quality, planning and supply chain. Multinational experience and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 10 years in management.
• Experience within a multinational manufacturing organisation is essential.
• Proven responsibility for plant P&L, supported by measurable financial achievements.
• A strong record of improving OEE and manufacturing performance.
• Experience managing sizeable plant operations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial judgement, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations, delivering results across safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer delivery.
• Take ownership of plant P&L, budgets and operating plans to improve profitability.
• Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), capacity utilisation and production efficiency.
• Strengthen production planning, maintenance, quality and supply chain coordination.
• Manage operational costs, inventory and working capital in partnership with Finance.
• Support business growth through effective capacity planning and operational execution.
• Develop capable leadership teams and foster accountability across the plant.
• Collaborate with regional and global leadership within a matrix reporting structure.
