SUPER MICRO COMPUTER MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Production Planner to lead end-to-end planning and scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal capacity usage.
You will develop master schedules from forecasts, manage WIP, and coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse and Production teams to meet customer commitments. The ideal candidate has around 5 years in production planning, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and a degree in operations or supply chain management.
Lead end-to-end production planning and scheduling activities by managing demand forecasts, capacity planning, material availability, and production resources to ensure on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What will be your task:
Develops master production schedules based on sales forecasts and material availability, leading production planning and scheduling activities at Supermicro Malaysia to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely delivery of products.
Manages demand planning, capacity planning, and production scheduling, working closely with Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure material availability, while coordinating with HQ to support business requirements, production ramp-ups, and customer commitments.
Analyze capacity constraints and recommend balancing or outsourcing strategies to support business needs, production ramp-ups, and customer delivery commitments.
Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP), lead times, and production progress, implementing adjustment plans as required to ensure on-time delivery.
Analyze forecasts, production data, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel to manage production planning, reporting, and scheduling activities.
What can helped you succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with a Diploma or Certificate and relevant working experience are also encouraged to apply and may be considered based on their qualifications and experience.
Around 5 years of production planning experience is preferable, particularly within server, electronics, EMS, or related manufacturing industries. Relevant experience in similar manufacturing environments will also be considered an added value.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) and Microsoft Excel to support production planning, reporting, and operational analysis is desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
Ability to lead cross-functional planning activities and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement is preferred. Experience improving planning efficiency, operational visibility, and production schedule performance will be considered an advantage to the candidate.
Experience or exposure to analyzing production forecasts, operational data, and KPIs to support planning, reporting, and continuous improvement is preferable and will be considered an advantage to the candidate.
