Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Production Planner to optimize resources and meet production specifications and schedules.

You will lead complex production planning projects, plan the production schedule, monitor raw and packaging material stocks, and liaise with production, logistics, and engineering teams to integrate activities and cost estimates. Diploma or degree in management and 5+ years of planning experience are required.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage production planning activities to maximize the use of resources and meet production specifications and schedules.
• Lead complex production projects to produce schedules and plans, estimating human resources, tools and equipment needed.
• Liaise with managers across production, supply, logistics, maintenance, engineering, purchasing, or HR to integrate activities into production plans, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop production planning staff to meet targets.
• Responsible for material (Raw/Packaging) purchases for running production.
• Plan the Production Schedule according to planning guidelines.
• Monitor stocks of raw materials and packaging material and control to minimum levels.

Job description

• Manage production planning activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules.
• Lead the most complex, large, or difficult production projects to produce schedules and plans and estimate the human resources, tools, equipment needed to manufacture products.
• Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example in production, supply and logistics, maintenance, engineering, purchasing, or human resources) to integrate their activities into productions plans, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop production planning staff to ensure that their activities meet pre-established targets.
• To be responsible on the material (Raw / Packaging) purchase for the running production.
• To plan the Production Schedule according to the planning guideline.
• Monitor stocks of raw materials and packaging material and control to their minimum level.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Management or any related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in production planning
