Job summary

Evyap Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to develop and manage daily to monthly production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will forecast demand, align capacity, and coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; up to 2 years of relevant experience in production planning/manufacturing is advantageous.
• Good understanding of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of SAP R/3 ECC or SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI and PowerPoint are added advantages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on production forecasts, customer orders, and open orders.
• Establish and optimize manufacturing sequences according to product characteristics, production requirements, and available capacity.
• Analyze and evaluate demand plans and delivery requirements to ensure customer needs are met while considering capacity, manpower, equipment, and material availability.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to planned timelines and delivery dates.
• Review and adjust production plans in response to changes in demand, material availability, capacity, machine breakdowns, and other unforeseen conditions.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
• Liaise with Procurement on raw materials and packaging materials, including purchase requisitions and delivery schedules.
• Monitor material availability and ensure required materials are received on time.
• Identify production constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update production planning data in SAP and other planning systems.
• Prepare and analyze production planning reports, KPIs, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.

Job Description

• Plan and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on production forecasts, customer orders, and open orders.

• Review and adjust production plans in response to changes in customer demand, material availability, production capacity, machine breakdowns, and other unforeseen conditions.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
• Liaise with the Procurement team on raw materials and packaging materials, including raising/opening purchase requisitions and coordinating material delivery schedules.
• Monitor material availability and ensure required materials are received according to the production schedule.
• Identify potential production constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and update production planning data in SAP and other planning systems.
• Prepare and analyze production planning reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and on-time delivery performance.
• Ensure planning activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant operational requirements.
