Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a meticulous Planning Engineer (Civil & Construction) to drive end-to-end scheduling, progress monitoring and resource planning for civil infrastructure and building projects in Kulai/Johor. You will work with project managers, site supervisors and clients to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Responsibilities include maintaining master and work programmes, conducting delay analyses, EOT submissions and detailed progress

Qualifications

• 5+ years of working experience in construction project planning.
• Familiar with building, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling software; MS Excel skills for data analysis.
• Good command of written and spoken English for client reporting and documentation.
• Independent, responsible and able to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain detailed construction project schedules (master, weekly/monthly plans).
• Review drawings, BOQ, tender documents to cover scope in planning framework.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and critical path issues with timely reporting.
• Conduct time impact and delay analyses; prepare EOT submissions and recovery plans.
• Plan on-site manpower, equipment and materials to avoid resource idle or shortage.
• Prepare progress reports, progress claims and project status presentations.
• Coordinate with site engineering, QS, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Track variation orders and update schedules; document revision history.
• Support risk assessment and project delivery strategy.
